Default OT: Tire Idea

When bashing you want good traction to wheelie and stuff right? But you don't want to get softer foams cuz the it'll wear to fast, right, so you get the stiffer foams. You'll suffer some grip but save money in the long-run. Well in off-road bashing tires, they should just make the actual contact part (like the lugs and pins and stuff) really hard so it will grab the grass (thats what most of us bah on anyway) but make the smooth part (like the part that you see when you completly wear out a tire) really soft so you gain traction to still have fun. Foams would be up to the driver. But wouldn't this be a good idea to send to Pro-line or Panther?

if the tread was hard but the parts of the tire would be soft, the power of the engine would just wrip the whole tire since the tread is gripping and the foam isnt strong enough to hold the tread

It wouldnt be THAT soft. It'd be like soft losi foam and like the tires on the radio shack crappers. You get it? It could use some inprovments but its a idea.

This would raise the costs of tires significantly. When they make tires, they DO NOT glue each and every pin to the tire separately. There is a mold and the tire is all one piece, so they are relatively easy to make. If you are going to use different compounds in a small tire, then there will need to be a special manufacturing process for these tires, which probably won't be worth the performance upgrades, if the tires are better at all.
