Need a bigger fuel tank for my Losi XXX NT
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I just bought a Team Losi XXX NT RTR truck and I'm looking for a bigge fuel tank, something bigger than the 75CC tank that it has now.
Does anyone know of another tank that would fit? or make it fit?
thanks!
Jason

welcome
there isnt a bigger tank for a xxx-nt and i have never seen one that would fit.....
alot of pepole say that its not good to have a bigger tank becuse then your engine could over heat due to longer run time....

losi xxx-ntkid: I noticed in one of your pictures it appears that the battery is above the steering servo. Is that an effort to keep the front on the ground, or what? I am new to this as well and I have trouble getting my NT to turn, while accelerating. It seems the front end is very light= won't turn.

also what engine do you have?
if its stock it should be a mach .15 with a blue cooling head(if its the old xxx-nt)
the xxx-nt2 has a mach .15 with a black cooling head and rear exhaust

RE: Need a bigger fuel tank for my Losi XXX NT
I think mine is a black cooling head, with the side exhaust tho...says team losi on it. And mine is the Mach .15
I should try and get some pics
It goes pretty good..but I have yet to find top speed. Need traction..
Raised my rear end today..seems like the truck sat pretty low in the rear...i might rasie the front a bit too..see how that works.
How much time do you get out of 1 tank of gas?
I broke one of my rear hubs yesterday..plastic shiat...i was looking on ebay at some of those aluminum hubs...would they be better? How about those aluminum arms? or should I just stick with the plastic ones.. i just want them to last..and not break too often. i dont really care for lightness or anything..this thing has power!!!

ok if you have the black cooling head you have a xxx-nt2 which is better imho
i wouldn't get aluminum a-arms just because they are too expensive and they bend easy get a couple spare a-arms front and rear your going to need them....
you can get the aluminum knuckles i would suggest getting a name brand like dynamite

RE: Need a bigger fuel tank for my Losi XXX NT
lol i know i'm in the wrong room here i'm an associated guy, but i have some good info for you losi guys the new xxxnt ad2 comes with a 125cc tank with a displacement block that you can put in or take out. when its in your legal 75cc and out 125cc for club racing or bashing. As far as the engine temps go with bigger tank if its tuned right it shouldn't bother we run 45 minutes mains and temps stay the same from the start of race to the end hope this helps
