I think more companies need to offer rollers for their cars, most of us upgrade so much we just end up spending more money, Especially us who buy brushless as we often end up changing out the radio and reciever as well as the motor/esc. We'd be saving quite some money by being able to buy a rolling chassis' for us customizers, anyone else agree?

That's exactly the sentiment I stated in my "what would you pick" thread. For me, building up a car from a box of parts and a manual is far more interesting than pulling a complete setup out of a box, reading a "quick start" guide, and running it. Besides, it's nice to have documentation how everything fits together, part #s, etc. That's one thing I liked better about R/C in the earlier years--there were far more kits to choose from, and ARR/RTRs were around, but not popular; now the reverse is true. Same thing is happening on the plane side of the hobby, too.

I mean, every company could have a roller for their vehicles, but just convincing them to sell the rollers.... They all have them but they'd just rather put cheap electronics in it for "beginners" I mean some guy was talking about making an electric brushless hellfire, if he had a rolling chassis he'd be saving SOOOO much money. I have been able to come across a few rollers on ebay, but more companies should offer them.

I'm not a huge Duratrax fan, but they sell a roller and it's a decent deal.

The Pro is supposed to be fairly tough too.

why not just get a kit? they're fun to put together (if you don't screw it up)... but I do enjoy the pull out of the box and have something although I'd rather supply my own electronics. The one roller that is really badly needed is an emaxx roller.

I would get a kit but, im not looking for any tamiya/kyosho. Forget the e-maxx, the gorillamaxx electric revo roller will blow away the e-maxx.
