Hey guys ive just start to get my hyper 7 running great i was just after what engine temp i should be runing and if its measured at idle and what???

You shouldn't be tuning your engine by temperature. If it is running great (i.e tuned properly) then the engine is recieving enough lubrication - temp doesn't really matter.

Thanx for the help. I think my car is running great still blowing blue smoke and alot of oil is still running out the exhaust. But its has a running temp of around 280F - 300F and once 400F is it to lean???

just had my nitro rustler out and its 15 degrees it was running at 300 degrees thru 3 tanks could not get it to cool down went as far as 3/4 turn rich and still at 300 so i kept driving ran pretty darn good and didnt even hit anything today

.15Pro or 2.5 Nitro Rustler? Anything over 270* for the 2.5 is considered overheating. In 15* weather, even the factory "rich" break-in setting of 4 turns out on the HSN is way too lean. I am nearly 5 turns out on the HSN this time of year and it was "warm" today at 45*. Engine temps were in the 240-250* range.
You may want to cut some holes to direct air over your engine if you have not already.

ha ha well i had another day of gd driving... i burned mi fingures 2 day by the engine head... well i was driving mi nitro and well group of ppl come and c wot im doing so yer im driving and coz there a crowd watching me i decided 2 show off as usual lol... i set mi car as lean as poss just enuff that the engine dnt cut out at full throt. and enuff that i cud c niiiice blue smoke... yer i went thru 2 tanks of feul non stop (i no i suda w8ed 4 it 2 cool but so wot) and after wile engine made funi sounds but it was still ripping it... so i stoped car and had a look with out opening body shell there was smoke comming of the cooling head :S not steam but white smoke :S so i taught leme c if its hot (such a dumb ass) and man got his 4 fingures melted lol i guess im fine but duno if mi engine is totaled :S im sure engine got well over the recomended tep... i was wondering wot wud happen if ya ran at relli hot temps

Keep turning the HSN out. There's no reason you should be running 300* in the winter. Today I was exactly 5 turns out and running 250-260*.
