You shouldn't be tuning your engine by temperature. If it is running great (i.e tuned properly) then the engine is recieving enough lubrication - temp doesn't really matter.

Thanx for the help. I think my car is running great still blowing blue smoke and alot of oil is still running out the exhaust. But its has a running temp of around 280F - 300F and once 400F is it to lean???

.15Pro or 2.5 Nitro Rustler? Anything over 270* for the 2.5 is considered overheating. In 15* weather, even the factory "rich" break-in setting of 4 turns out on the HSN is way too lean. I am nearly 5 turns out on the HSN this time of year and it was "warm" today at 45*. Engine temps were in the 240-250* range.

You may want to cut some holes to direct air over your engine if you have not already.

Keep turning the HSN out. There's no reason you should be running 300* in the winter. Today I was exactly 5 turns out and running 250-260*.
