basically the little golden ring clamps the lip of the tire in place when those little screws are tightened. Don't buy those rims though. someone posted a review on them a week or two ago and they said that the rims stripped almost imediatly. If you want beadlocks look at maximizer rims....

yeah the beadlock idea is good but I don't think Proline hit the nail on the head with these wheels. I mean there are like 50 screws per wheel and it takes you a good 3-5 seconds to take out each screw and put it somewhere where you won't lose it. That's 10+ minutes just changing tires! A good idea but I think I'd just go for the maximizers which have 24 screws altogether or just glue my tires... lol

yup although I might get the maximizers since I like how the look and I suck at glueing with CA! Last time I tried I glued my fingers together and had to cut the glue/ skin in between. Can you say painful? I think I've fingured out how to use it though. Next ime I'm wearing latex gloves and putting the CA in an eye dropper cause it poured out last time. lol
