I have a T-Maxx with 2.5 and I had to replace a front lower A-arm and bulkhead from a bad crash. I made the investment and went aluminum on all eight suspension arms, bulkheads, frame supports from Full Force RC and the large bore shocks from Traxxas all around. I put it all together now the truck rides too low and seems too heavy for the shocks! But these are the upgrade shocks! almost $100 for 8. What am I doing wrong? I see guys that have allot of aluminum on their truck with no problems!! If $$ was no object what are the baddest shocks out there? HELP PLEASE!

Possible solutions:
1) clip some pre load spacers onto the springs. or if the shocks are the "threaded" type, thread them all the way down. Or get stiffer springs.
2) check the shock mounting positions. for more ride height, mount the bottom of the shock as far IN as possible. Mount the top of the shocks as far OUT as possible. Get the shocks as close to upright as you can.
3) Try a heavier weight silicone shock oil.
a combination of these 3 things might be all it needs. Good luck!

I max-ed out the shock positions (not adjustable) (TRX Big Bore Shocks), put the big spacers in, no effect. I'll look into heavier wt oil, what wt would you recommend?
