use some LED's and power them with a 9V PPV battery

you have to put a resistor in seies with the LED's to ensure that you dont burn them out. LED's are diodes and have to be connected the right way round. the long leg goes to the positive terminal on the battery (thats the side with the + on)

the battery can be stuck on with sticky tape and that way it's easy to remove and change when it goes dead

500mw is a nice bright LED, you can tape the battery to the body, or shoegoo a 9v battery holder to the battery, that way the battery just clamps in the holder. Hyper Lighting on ebay sells a good selection of quality light kits.

Depends on how much paint you need to remove, Ive done it when some paint bled through the masks and got on the windows. I just let it sit for maybe 10 sec.

It may be too late to do that. If you messed up by quite a bit its best to just start over, theres no way of removing 100% of the paint. It works for small jobs but you have to react fairly quick.

you guys seem to know what you are talking about with respect to leds. I installed an led system in my MT but i only had a 12v switch and it is a 9v system and the 9v battery would get hot and lose power within 15 mins, only running 6 leds. is this becasue of my switch?
I have only ever installed leds on 12v cars before, never worked with 9v

Any input is appreciated
Thanks

You may want to try a different switch, check all connectors and make sure they arent reversed or anything. Do you have a resistor on all of your LED's, if not you will want to do that.

i had some hyperLEDs left over from doing up a fiberglass sub box for a buddy and they come with resistors pre soldered on. I was just wondering if the 12v switch was doing it, and if so where can i get a 9v switch>?
