Hi, im new to the nitro rc thing and i want to get my first ready to run truck and do it right. Im not exactly sure whats good and bad out there and i though this would be a good place to find some help. Im looking at getting an all terrain truck whether it be a monster truck or stadium or truggie im not sure yet. I want something that handles awsome and can go anywere. I want to be able to take it off jumps and run around on nontrack conditions in the woods, dirt, lumppy places, ect... but also have enough speed to really rip up the tarmac 40mph+, 50 would be nice. I want to be able to carve sharp turns at a good speed without rolling and still have enough ground clearance and travel. I was looking at a couple including the HPI Savage X, Hellfire, Revo, Jato, MT2, Monster GT, Mammoth, and LST2. Kind of leaning savage X, hellfire or revo somewhere around 450-500 bucks ish, if someone can give me some advice that would be great.

Hellfire would DEFINATELY be PERFECT for you, but last I checked they were about $620, plus you have to add in the $22 average price for a gallon of 20% nitro. it is a nice vehicle though and would be perfect, second choice would be an MT2 18ss or Savage-X.

Ya im definetly going to have to agree. The hellfire sounds like a great truck and just what you need, a little pricy but i think it'd be worth it. either that or a savage or revo

ya that hellfire looks awsome, i was wondering if its too low to handle rough terrain though. Any word on this Savage X dosent seem like many have one yet just woundering how the two stack up there two of my main conternders. little pricey though...

Well, the hellfire is in the MT category, not ST or truggy, its very capable and fast, from what your looking its the best option, it is pricey but definately for you.

CEN mt2 or revo are good chices if you want a fast truck for a cheaper price. LST2 is nice but pricey. Not exactly sure where "mike" Alberta is lol. But alberta Definately offers some nice offroad RC opportunities. Imagine taking an RC to some Banff trails or something?
One thing to take into consideration is that (northern alberta anyway) is pretty much freezing for half the year and plastic parts break very easy in sub 0 temperatures.
Just something to keep in mind that i discovered the hardway.

I just checked out the warhead and it looks awome too, you can lower it almost asmuch as the hellfire or have it like the savage for rougher terrain. Does any one know how the engin is on this thing our how it compares to the above? Put your 2 cents in.

Some preload spacers might work, but the Hellfire is the best all around MT out there, speed and agility of a ST, performance and capabilities of a MT.

the LST2 is expensive but its down to that and the Revo. and maybe the hellfire but im not sure how bashable it is with its low ground clearance, it looks like more of a racer.

The main reason it cost More than the Revo is it Comes With a JR XS3 Synthesized FM Radio, And The LST has Metal CVDs and Tranny Gears , High/low range 2 speed Tranny....
heres a few Pics,

What about the CEN Nemesis how does it stack up to the LST2, REVO, and Hellfire? (thats what im down to...) Whats the engine reliability like, is it as good a handler and basher as the others?
