Default engine swap

I have a duratrax buggy but the engine is shot and i was wondering is it possible if i drill new holes if needed to use a traxxas .15 high performance engine on mine. The engine looks like this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJL58&P=PU
Give me some advice what you think of this engine thanks alot

thats their older engine, from my experience they havent been very reliable. personally i would recamend an o.s. they are very reliable, put out good power, and last a long time.

I bet this O.S. engine has a pit more punch than that old Traxxas engine. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXXA44&P=7

Price is alright for this decent engine. What do you think?

so in other words it is possible to take any engine and put it into my car as long as the holes are drilled in the right spot. And can i just take the clutch bell and all that off and put it right onto another engine and it will go. get back asap thanks.

There are three different crankshaft types. They include SG, threaded short shaft and threaded long shaft. If you find an engine with the correct type of crank you can swap over your current setup. Remember O.S. makes the same engine with the option of the 3 crank types.
