it could be that the glow plug has gone bad, or the engine is improperly tuned. was the engine running well before this happened? if so its probably your glow plug.

just try and keep it on a bit longer while the engine is running. i think the temps need to get up to keep the plug glowing. or is it the reaction with fuel air and heat that keeps it hot

think you are running a bit rich but just leave it in a while and let the engine heat up before removing it. one of my cars does that and all i do is rev it a few times before removing it and it quickly warms up.
