Default need help

I just added a Warhead to my collection of trucks, I broke it in like it said I got to play with it for a day, but it was running hot , I was fine tuning to get it to run cooler then the pull cord broke.I bought a starter box and was up and running again then the spur gear striped out, I replaced it and everything was fine for about 5 mins. and the new spur gear started to stripe. It's only when I apply the brakes at high speed.I relly don't know much about the Warhead as compared to my Revo so what should I try with brief explanation please. On a good note while I was at the Hobby store getting parts for the Revo and Warhead a guy walks in the store with a T Maxx and charger, EZ start, remote batterie and says first 75 bucks takes it, so I bought and it runs.......lol I just have to do a little tuuning cause when you let off it shuts off......

For the gears always stripping, I would check your gear mesh. Once set correctly loc-tite the engine mounts so it can not vibrate loose.

As for tuning - tune to performance and sound, never tune to temperatures or exhaust smoke!

Slamming brakes = stripped gears?

Do this: Adjust the brakes to apply more progressivley/softly and adjust the slipper clutch by backing it out about 1/4 turn or more.
