Default What is a Servo Saver?

You guys were talkin about it a few post down..
I'm wondering.. is this what saved the servos when you do a 10 foot jump and the car lands on a single wheel?! :stupid:

Thanks!

Default Wait.. so it breaks when the forces become too great?!

Yeah I know what (physically) your talking about.. but how does it work?
Does it just break and you get a new one?!

Btw, thanks for the quick response!
One GREAT thing I love about this sport is that everyone is extremely willing to help out in every way they can, and you guys are no exception.. thanks!
I used to ask people on e-bay these questions.. and instead of a one line answer you get from most members.. the RC affectionados usually give me a 1 page description, reccomendations and like 8 different links!
RC.. its good stuff.. glad I got into it!

the servo savers are spring loaded. When the arm moves it compress's the spring and then goes back to where its suppost to be.

Yes you need one for the steering. It should be apart of your bell crank. if you dont have a spring on top of one of your bell cranks then go to the lhs and look a kimbro. They go on the servo out put shaft. If you tag a board it will shatter the gears in the servo.

I cant think of any sites that would have a picure of one. sorry
