ive got my Kyosho pureten to run idle now .. yay success BUT it runs for a good 30 seconds idle and i can take the glow starter off and its fine ... BUT if i open throttle slightly it runs for a few secs then cuts out ! as i noticed the fuel wasnt flowing through to the engine! what do i do ... do i open the needle valve up abit more or close it ........
i still havent broken the engine in just to add that!
can anyone help

I'm not too experienced with nitro engines, but it sounds like it's running to lean. When breaking in a nitro engine, you should have it on the rich side. You should try opening the valve more and see how it goes. Also, you say the fuel isn't flowing to the engine (carb). Can you change the pressure line (the tube going from the muffler to the tank)? Good luck!

Actually, it could be too rich and fuel is blowing out the Glow Plug...
Make sure you have tight connections on your fuel lines and no air is getting in, also make sur eyou have your line running from the exhaust to the fuel tank on tight... This pressurized the puel and helps push it to the engine...

We all do baby steps first.....and then we scratch & dent the hell out of ourselves!

Hang in there....you'll get the hang of it.

Hey!!!
I remember when I was new. I didnt know a thing (literaly)
So many embarrasing stories.
Didnt put reciever batteries in so engine didnt start.
Didnt get a glow start with my car(didnt know what the hell one was)
crashed into a cerb and smashed the front of my car.
Bent chassis plate.
When transsfering everything onto the new plate forgot to put screw back in to hold head on throttle servo. Went full speed down a straight and head decided to come off. ( o dear)Lost control of speed. I cringe to think of it!!!
Dont have enough time to write the others but im sure you get the jist of it.....
Now I know what im doing and am fairly knowledgeable. My new car is running great. Dont worry you'll soon have it going just perfect.
Stick with it!!!!
