Just joined the site and thought I would say hi and ask a few questions.. Can anyone tell me what happened to my speed controll??? Had 2 of em melt on the same car they both worked well for a while then up in smoke??? The truck has a 27 turn epic motor and traxxas reciever2215 in a losi jrx2... Btw I know nothing about r/c cars just learning..

if you still have the instruction booklet look up what turns the esc's could handle. you will need new esc's so make sure to look at the turns that it can go down to first. the thing that doesnt make sense to me, though, is that you only had a 27 turn motor. it could be that thats too high for it but i would expect it to do that. normally its the lower turns that will kill your esc

I believe 27 turn motors are stock, these are common and most esc's can handle them. How many cells are you using? Esc's have different voltage range capacity.
Some esc with separate heatsinks are not allowed to touch each other. I know its impossible for them to move and touch each other, but if something that conducts electricity (metals, wires etc) and connects them together, there would be major damage on the esc.

Thanks guys after I replaced the speed controll with a barrowed on froma friend the truck works great now..... Old school futaba with a fuse in it looking to upgrade soon maybe as I just bought a nitro car that I just could not pass up...
