Can I buy RIT Dye at Walmart. If not, then where can I get it?

I have seen it in the grocery store as well. If you are planning to dye plastic. Heat the solution to about 190 degrees F. Then put your parts in the bath. The dye will go deeper in to the plastic or nylon. Make sure you wash the parts real well. Use a good degreaser. Do not touch the parts after cleaning with your bare handes. The oil from you hands will leave marks. If this is stuff you already know, sorry for the repeat.

It depends how dark you want them to turn out. Very dark=let them soak a long time. Light=let them soak less.

As long as required. I put a hook in the end of a coat hanger slide the part on the hanger and put in dye. Do not put more than one part per hanger. Parts will not dye where they touch. Pull them out after a while and check the color, as often as needed. I rinse the parts with cold water when done so the dye does not streak or get all over everything. It can get real messy if you are not careful.
