I can give you some insite on the two buggys your inquiring about, they are about the cheapest and most generic buggys made and the quality on a scale of 1 to 10 is about 1. You get what you pay for so the cheapest buggys are exactly that, CHEAP. If your gonna invest your hard earned money buy something that has good quality, KYOSHO, MUGEN, HPI,THUNDER TIGER. Good luck.

yes, the only good ofna is the hyper 7 pro and its margonal
look at the kyosho 7.5 the TTR EB4 or the mugen buggy (i cant think of the name) my perfrence is the EB4 or the mugen the TTR is really light while the mugen has a slight edge in top end the both have about the same handling but you get what you pay for

If you're looking for a good 1/8 scale but don't want to break the bank, take a look at the GS Storm Pro. I've been racing 1/8 off-roaders for 8 or 9 years and have had many different cars. I had a new ofna ultra worlds GT - it was worn out after one year. Right now a have a couple of Kyosho MP5s, an MP6, and 2 GS Storm Pros. The Storm pro is about as bullet proof as the kyosho, handles well, and nicely equipped. If you have the coin, you might want to consider an MP7.5, but your best bang for the buck is definitely the GS Storm Pro.
Good luck,

There's nothing wrong with running an ultra lx pro
if you're planning on having a ton of fun with an R/C car. You can expect speeds in excess of 50 MPH. I know that alot of 1/10 nitro sedan guys (I'm also one of them) will point out that their 1/10 scaler will also run that fast. The nice thing about the 1/8 scale is how much faster it gets there (on and off-road).
Have fun,

The Lightning is a decent car I have seen three run at my local track the only thing that has broke is the wing on all three it dose need a better servo for stering if you look at one a lot of the parts look just like Kyosho parts the same guy that designed Kyosho mp 5 mp 6 designed the lightning also the motor dose not have a lot of power 1.8 HP I think but thats not to big a deal most guys that race cant use all the power of the OSs and RBs motor any way I would rather have this car than the Ofna LX there is another site that has more info at radiocontrolzone.com serch for lightning its 2 or 3 pages long
