small block, big block?
In most cases, its not about BIG power. Its driver ability,car setup and getting the power to the ground. I have seen it time and time again.
An avg driver shows up to the track with a top dollar vehicle, 300 engine, mega $ radio and gets SMOKED by a low dollar, well prepared racer.

exactly. ported, polished and balanced thats gotta be pushing 60.000 rpm although its probably already pretty much ppbed to the max. i met someone in spain(sam where art though) hu had a .21( i think) pushing 51,000.

I seriously doubt that even ported and polished high £££ engines will be pushing 40 - 50,000rpm under load. I think if you measured the rpm of the engine running in a car/truck you'd be sadly disappointed.
