Does any body know if I can find some screws for my losi at ace hardware? I need a 4-40 lock nut, 4-40 by 3\8 flat head, 3mm by 8mm flat head, and a 4-40 by 5/8 flat head.

Probably not, I am not saying for sure but the hardware stores around me do not have small sizes you might find one or two, like the lock nut. The rest you will likely not find or they will have them in slotted or phillips, which are a bad choice in my opinion. Industrial supply stores usually have what you want. Or my personal favorite, mcmaster.com which you can get a box so you have plenty of spares. Alot of models can use the same size screw.

( I can't link from the site, but they have 4-40x3/8 SS flat socket caps for $4.75 per pack of 100, just type "socket cap" in search field, they make it so easy to find any screw you want.)

Or the alternative of buying an RC specific kit from places like hexcrews.com........

The Gingellville ACE Hardware on Baldwin and Gregory Roads have a whole section of Metric and SAE size small screws. They have cap head, button head and flat heads. I get replacement screws for my cars there all the time.

Good to know there are other RCers in the area.
