Practice, practice and more practice. Being that your are new at this it will take a while for you to get used to the racing scene. I would definately go out and and see what the local racers are using as rc's. Ask tons of questions as you will learner faster then if you do not ask question's. Just get a ton of track time and as I said more practice.
