Default short track..?

when people talk about short vs. long tracks, what determins a long and short track. thanks in advance!!!

maybe i should have clarified! what length or avg run time makes a track a short or long track. (ex. 30 sec / 300' for a short, 60 sec / 600' for a long) thanks again!!

Ok if two tracks are the same drive length If one had alot of bumps and turns and the other one had alot of straight aways then you'd be able to run the straightaway faster. Hope this helps.
