I don't know about the motor, but definately not the esc. They are asking 95 for that esc, when it will burn out.
Heres a good esc and motor combo:

and [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJBY5&P=7]this.[/link]
You will have to replace the brushes and trim the comm on the brushed motor. The motor is a 15t because thats what the other motor you picked was.
Those are both great and a lot cheaper.

they are asking 95 bux for it because its WAY better than the novak you suggested, which has a 15 turn limit. the one he is looking at has no motor limit. he wants a 15 turn motor, why would you suggest one so close to that threshold when he is looking at something that would work just fine, wierd.
rstandke, the ones your looking at are fine, but i think i would go with a checkpoint. a little faster and way longer life.

Yup, I would defenitely choose the LRP over the XRS. The XRS is ideal for smaller scale like 1/18. The LRP Bullet has no limit so you can get a faster motor. The price is just about right, you might get it cheaper off ebay.

ok, the first esc is better, the 12t motors will be hard on your equipment, so go with a check point 15 turn . both the lrp ones are good , but if you get the first one, you can use any motor.

I say no to the lrp as well. If I were to get an lrp it would ONLY be a QC2 or three. The rest of their esc's burn up on higher motors than they're rated for from my experience. That motor isn't very good either. If you wanted a cheap motor, buy a method.

still whant to know how good that colbolt is

the cobalt is a racing motor and is also quite pricey. If you are willing to give out $180 then just get a mamba 4300 or 5700 instead. They are in the same price range anyway and a lot faster and efficent.

ESC............$95.00
Motor..........$50 - $65 depends on which motor is chosen
Total $145.00 - $160.00
OR THIS

I think it needs to be looked at from the long range as when all is said and done.
I am not selling but as R/C fan-addict made reference to brushless may be a better choice.
Just think about it before you spend that kind of money......Good Luck
Thanks

Yes, I think brushless would be worth it to you in the long run. If you have a motor and ESC combo costing 150, you might as well save up the extra twenty or thirty dollars and get a Brushless system. It will be less cost in the long run.
