Default Battery Pack configuration (Stick Vs. Assembled)

well today i was kinda stumped by my G/F she walks into the garage and see's me breaking apart my stick packs and soldeirng up some battery bars on them.... she asked "Why are you doing that? didnt you just buy those?" i said yes i just bought them and told her they can handle the discharge current of my mod setup better in this configuration.

well after i got her off my back i got to thinking... ive been doing this for about 10 years... is it really worth it? hahaha... what is the TRUE gain of doing this?

put it this way... why do "YOU" do it?

just curious.

I agree with her, I do not do it. If you figured the labor in , it would be far cheaper to buy the pack you want to end up with.

That's not to say I do not "maintain " my old stick pack that way when a cell or two goes bad.
