I used my basic alkaline starter just like that all the time, and I have a rechargable one, too.
It will be just fine. Just keep an extra battery around.
Later on, if you have some extra $ to buy a rechargable one, you might save $ long term on batteries by using the rechargable starter. To get rolling, don't worry about it.
