Default Duratracks Problems

I dont know if its just me but does anyone else have problems with duratrax stuff. I bought a wing and a fuel tank for my 1/8 buggy and they were both crap. The wing shattered and the fuel tank cracked and leaked. Im pretty pissed off at it because I cant get to the hobby store to often. Sure Duratrax is cheaper that other stuff but I suppose you get what you pay for. My buggy is and Ofna and the original wing I have had for 3 years, I dident have the Duratrax one 3 weeks before it broke. Like I say maybe its just me but thats the last time I buy anything duratrax! What do you guys think of Duratrax products?

If your running in cold temps....you can break plastic easily as it becomes brittle....and breaks easily. If you choose to drive in cold temps "freezing" try not to get on it to much so you don't run the risk of breakage.

Good Luck!

Dura means durable, not sure what traxx means.
I have really never heard anything good about DT.
More like a step up from RadioShack.

Not really for racing or serious bashing.

I have a duratrax evader, and it has broken more times than I can count! Most of the plastic parts in the front have broken at least once and the front bulkhead twice! The evader is made very well, and I do drive it pretty hard. The best part is the 1 year warrenty on all parts for the evader(plastic parts). I dont think I will every buy another duratrax though, I have heard only bad things about them, except for the evader in my view. Its a good begginer truck, but nothing more.

Hahaha "step up from radio shack", guess I should stick to OFNA and Mugen parts. I suppose its ok to have entire cars from them when they are covered by warrentee but I bought single parts from them and i dont think they are covered are they?

Default Duratracks Problems

I had a Duratrax Max MT from a trade (among other things) and all the info I could find was Duratrax (aka Duratrash) was not a quality car. It was part of a trade and I basically gave it away to someone.

Not worth the maintenance $$ on my part and probably was cheaper doing what I did.
