New Engine for HPI Nitro RS4 3 18SS
Not right now, but at some point, I’m planning on changing the engine on my HPI Nitro RS4 3 18SS. So I asked the guys at the truck, and most of them suggested an O.S. engine.
I am very happy with the driving stability of this car, so I thought that it would be OK if I put a really strong engine on it. I started searching at Tower Hobbies and I found the O.S. 18TZ Turbo engine.
I’ve seen a few O.S. 12TZ Turbo engines and they were pretty fast. So I though, imagine the power of the O.S. 18TZ!!!
Question is how do I know if this engine fits my car? There are 2 versions. The O.S. 18TZ(P) Turbo w/Slide Carb and the O.S. 18TZ(S) Turbo w/Rotary Carb
And let’s say I decide on another engine. How will I know if that one fits on my car? What are the specifications I should be looking for?
Thank you.

When you say too much, what do you mean? I wont be able to control the car? And my question remains. How do I know which engines fit my car? What specs should I be looking for? Or "this engine fits 1/10 touring cars" is all I need to know?
Thanks.
Thanks.

too much power, think of putting a 1000hp v8 engine in a mini cooper.........same concept, and just look for a .12-.18 engine that has a threaded shaft, post a link and i will be able ot tell most likely
