Default RUBBERBAND/FAN POWERED TT-01!

Ok, me and my friend have to make a wheeled vehicle (TT-01) go a certain distance and stop. There will be rubberbands to move the wheels to get it started, then the fan will push it, and when it stops, the ball bearings will help keep momentum. After it reaches a certain distance a string attached to the axcel will tighten up and pull the disk break closed stoping it.
Any other ideas to make this better?

don't use the TT-01. Make something out of balsa wood, R/C chassis are way too heavy!

What are the exact rules or is this just one of your ideas because you just want too?

Last year we did a balsa wood thing, it didnt work so well, I will have taken most of the heavy parts out. We are also doing this because we wanted to, and we thought we might as well use it. It has to go a cetain distance, and go under a piece of wood without knocking it down, but thats extra. I think the distance is 10'. I can' use electronics or springs.

balas wood will hold a lot of weight my friend made a bridge that held almost 300 pounds, just hot glue and alot of support. triangleate it as much as you can.

well, we almost have it done, it looks pretty good. We are doing this for a few reasons, one for competiton, 2 its just gonna be fun, 3 i get to bring my car to school, 4 i get free upgrades. I think it will do good, compared to our competition, its a formula 1 racer! The other people are just doing it to hand out with their friends after school, they could care less about making a good car.

no alot of my friends know about it and they think its cool and all, but it is a nitro, so the coolness factor would go down with a toyish electric. Unless the electric goes an excess of 100mph, then don't even mention it to anyone...

I generally dont tell people, not like I hide it but I dont start about it either. I know what you mean about electric, even friends that are into rc make fun of me because I run only electric.

Yea, I like nitro's better, but alot of my friends like the electrics better, they are girls...... I think most of my friends are girls. When they see it fly, they will think different, this one goes 60+mph, so it hurts to get hit by it, that is my main goal, hit people with it, haha. At the end of the year I am bringing my nitro to school, I will probably bring the 1/16 one, there is to long hallways with one turn, great for top speed.......
Now why do you say electric is toyish? I may like nitro better, but electric isn't anything to mess around with, most of them can go faster than nitros. But nitros are just awsome. So I go with both.
