Default RE: HSP: Atomic Warhead>>Atomic Problem

Hi guys,

First post and new to this RC hobby and new to this forum
too so please be gentle lol....

A friend and I (were both newbies with nitro RC)we just bought a new RC truggy
mine is a Swift PRO 1/8 RTR and he got a HSP Atomic Warhead 1/10. RTR too

We did a break in last night and everything was fine with the Swift PRO
fire up the engine...let it runs idle for 5 min ...
then run it on the backyard..tuned the HSN first then the LSN....leaning both gradually
runs smooth.and I'm very pleased how this truggy performs so far..

So the problem is with the HSP Atomic Problem eerrr Warhead truggy
Its hard to start at first ...but finally got it started....after a few yanks

the problem is it never idles and continue reving itself without any inputs from
the radio controller....its not just revving up but extremely revving till its like
trying to reach full throttle..[:@] what the heck !!! so we try to stop the engine by
closing the muffler with thumb..but engine never came to a halt...

What needs to be fixed? HSN? LSN? had no idea..need help big time!

Thanks in advance guys,
monnette

well, im newbish with nitro myself, but having had a bevy of issues, i'm kinda feeling a little bit in the know. I'd set the carb settings back to factor spec, and make sure there are no air leaks and the battery on the truck is fully charged, and throttle linkage in good working order, not stuck or binding with anything.Sorry its kinda vague. but these are most of the suggestions you will get at first.

Hey guys....brought the buggy in our LHS.
It can now idle since they detected that the clutch spring is the culprit.

We brought it back home, run it for a while like 2 mins run and
BANG! it wont stay during idle mode..car will sit a bit and will start moving
without any input from the controller.

Brought it back again to the LHS they replace the clutch spring again with a better one
again . (for the the second time around)They said carb setting are all OK.
But a few run it will do the same running by itself during idle.

What do you guys think causing this? the guy on the local hobby shop
suggested to eplace the stockengine with an infinity that he said will do
good than the stock one.
Do you think it;s worth to get a new engine..??
will it really solve the problem???

My friend is so frustrated, he bought a new buggy and never had a chance
to enjoy this hobby. All he do is going back and forth to our LHS (lol

yup that exactly what happened at first..but we solved that fiddling with
the carb and throttle/brake rod connectivity and also with the transmitter throt/brake trim
whew...

so it idles at least for a bit.....but after a few seconds it will slowly rev so
cars moves slowly too. and you dont want your fingers staying on the brake control ..dont ya lol
