I think it may be a little new yet, and some people in the mini forum are actually debating who's going to get it first and try it out. I'd just wait a little bit and within due time somebody will do a review or a magazine will.

Actually, the December RCCA has a review of a pre-production model. They liked it, for whatever that's worth(they like a lot of things though...). In all seriousness, it looks like a really nicely put together vehicle, and if I had the spare ducats, I'd pick that one up over the chaos or vulcan in a heartbeat. Sadly, I have mortgage and car payments to make, so my hobby budget is probably dried up til after the holidays

I got one and I'm not real pleased so far. The break in went fine, but I put in on a small track with no real jumps and one little snag on the track borders and I knocked the front dogbone out of the carrier. This continued to happen until it bent. That stripped the steering servo. I fixed that and got it going, by the way it will fly, but then out of no where the rear diff stripped and put me out of commission. It seems to be well built, but the steering servo is really weak, and what's up with the dogbone/drive shaft constantly jumping out, and the rear differential stripping. It also needs the fuel line reorganized from the get go. The main drive gears are exposed and the fuel tubing just lays right on top of them. I noticed immediate wear in the line, so I have to figure out how to re-route them. The little switch on the receiver box broke the third time I turned it on...just too little for my fat fingers. Oh, and the pull start seems to slip, giving about one good pull to every five. If I had gotten to drive it more than 20 minutes I'm thinking the list would grow. But on the plus side. It will really haul butt. We were all pretty impressed with the speed. It also handled really good before the servo stripped.
Please note, I tend to be a "balls to the wall" driver and might be a bit rougher on a model than some, but a friend of mine got one too, and the exact same problems happened to him (with the exception of the rear diff) But, Trinity offers all metal gears on their site, so if I can get those and get the steering worked out, it is likely to be really awesome. It would definitely be fine on a baseball field or a long smooth driveway.

Hmm. Sorry to hear of the problems--hope you get them sorted out. I'm still interested in the NEXT, but I have to admit, the upcoming CRT .5 is grabbing more of my attention lately; that one looks like a better fit to my needs if it turns out to be any good.

I got a Trinty NEXT and ran one lap with hit a small rock and trashed the front end and Diff I hate it now because it is so small it's hard to work on.
Ever since then it has been a shelf Queen.
