RS4 99.9% Anodized Aluminum Car
Okay so I just bought this car for around a hundred bucks. Its a project car that is 99.9% aluminum. It is not done and i'd like to complete it (and maybe resell).
Where can I buy parts for this car (aluminum) online? It is a first-gen RS4

all aluminum is bad because its heavy and aluminum just bends in a crash, ebay is the best place to get aluminum stuff for teh rs4 but i would convert everything back to plastic

RE: RS4 99.9% Anodized Aluminum Car
I know ebay is great for aluminum parts but this car is almost complete. Needs about 3 parts to be RTR.
However the parts I'm looking for would be hard to find on ebay. Theres tons of sites for rs4 rtr 3 hop ups but im looking for just the nitro rs4 parts
I'm sure SOMEONE out there knows of a site....anybody?
As to where I got it...ebay. Found a guy that was working on it but never finished. It's close to complete and includes a lot more than that picture shows. How much I will sell it for? Not sure. Aluminum parts are expensive ($20-40 each piece). This car was a good deal because it easily has $300+ in parts already. I'm thinking about making it a full RTR kit and put it back on ebay with a body included and radio. It'll be sweet.

www.towerhobbies.com for th ose random parts, ebay for the aluminum parts, and plastic is only a fraction of the the price of aluminum so if you plan on keeping it i would just convert it back, also, the resale on RC's isnt much, you will be lucky to get a $50 profit

Yea for a full kit that has everthing new and unused (including engine) I know will sell for more than a $50 profit (considering I got it around a hundred bucks.
It was just a few days ago I saw an rs4 nitro (1s gen) sell (reallllly dirty car, used alot) for $300 on ebay.
People tend to pay more for all aluminum cars . They look a lot better. I didn't buy it for the money, i bought it because it just simply looks awesome!

To my surprise its actually REALLy LIGHT. This must be aircraft grade aluminum or something because it is amazingly light. Honestly if you pick up a plastic piece and one the aluminum pieces on this car, without looking you wouldnt think one of them is metal.

never said it was heavy, but because it's ALL metal after a while it'd start to rattle like a pocket full of change (metal-on-metal noise).
