Communicate new ideas/inventions/innovations to the right ppl that make parts for our RC's? Or, do I just file some patents and go from there? I would like to see my ideas become reality, I believe that they will benefit most branches of our RC'ing hobby and Im too impatent to wait for someone else to think of them, lol.

Thanks!.

Thanks!.

Post them here. Wether they are active or lurking, you know there are industry guys here. That and some of the people here will build it and try it out if they like the idea. what have you got?

Well... I run a nitro drift car and would like to use nitro's for rock crawling, but the heat get way too much if your not moving enough air through the head...
So, one of my ideas was to use the new heatpipe technology from computer CPU heat sinks for our high-heat electric motors and nitro engines. The heatpipe moves the heat away from the source via silicon sand (and other unknown materials) which would allow you to install a fan (if needed) away from the motor/engine, and to locate it for best air flow, and move weight around where you need it... I would at least like to see nitro heads that can support electric fan(s) bolted directly to the engine. Then I could at least use a metal fan...
Second is re-designing certain parts for the nitro MT's for more durability. Sometimes the design of the part is the problem.. (ie: the plastic shock tower for the tmaxx made by RPM is heaps better than the stock (what I have) and still better that the intigy aluminum tower (what my buddy has).. I used the maxx in my example cuz thats what I have, and we all know the many short commings of the tmaxx...
Seems like the tech is here, but no one is jumping on it. Ive (primitivly) made some parts for my maxx, but I cant continue till someone chances by and offers there time and tools to produce these newer ideas I have. A machine shop and metal working tools would come in REAL handy, doh!
Anyhoo, thats a taste of what I would like to see, but in the aftermarket sector.. I dont want to go right to HPI or Traxxas and give away my ideas for them just so they can "cheapen" it so they can mass produce it for less that what a "quality" product is suppost to be.
Cheers!
