Yea, I just got one also just about 3 weeks ago. It was my first truck, but not first car ever. The thing is awesome for the money in my view. I took it to the track, and It was flying. I am really impressed with it. You wouldn't be going wrong in buying this truck.

The Maximum ST is a good entry level R/C truck, but if your budget allows, I would get the RC10GT Plus, by Team Associated. The engine is much more reliable, plus, you get better features such as bearings in wheels, etc. The reviews about this truck are superb, and the only people who "didn't like it" were idiots who didn't break-in their engine, or people who ran their car 40 mph in to a curb and complained that it broke. Go to www.nitroreview.com and click on Kits/Engines/Pipes/Radio link and compare reviews for those two trucks...maybe more and see which one fits into your budget and performance needs. Good luck...and I'm sure you will love the rip-roaring power of nitro trucks!

Yes, the bearings are an advantage, but then again I got some in my Max St for $12 at tower hobbies. The Max ST's engine has been very reliable for me. I have had no problems with it.
