After alot of peer pressure from friends and relatives I am getting my first rc vehicle. I know I want nitro and either a truck or buggy. We will be racing them on weekends, and just runnin them for fun. I have about 250 to spend on one and prefer one that I have no problem finding upgrades for. Yes zI did read the post above about rc pro and cons, but just wanted the input of others.
Is there a site besides ebay to maybe find used rc vehicles ?
Also what would you guys recommend in me getting, with the price range I am looking at with the available options.

Yea to a point. I will be learning as I go pretty much. I have been doing alot of reading for past month. Mainly if I wanted to put a bigger motor, exhaust stuff like that< i want it to be avalable. Most of the research I have done traxx, and revo seem to be the majority parts out there, unless im just looking in wrong place.
Thanks for the help

what kind of trucks do you want. Do you want a MT or do you want a ST. For a MT you cant go wrong with the revo for racing. If you want a ST and you want to race a Team Losi xxx-nt or a Team associated rc10gt's arent bad either.
You wont have any trouble finding upgrades for either them.

I am 100% sure I want nitro. As far as racing goes not heavily just with relatives and friends. We are going to make us a track so something that would be durable for jumps and speed. Can I find these models for the budget I have set aside for this. Everywhere i loof they are 350 plus.

Depends on what you want to do.
Associated's RC10 GT is a great 2WD Stadium Truck, while the Traxxas T-maxx Monster Truck makes a better basher.
Different Strokes....
