Default MCD 1/5th scale cars...

Can someone who is familiar with these cars drop me a line about the quality of these chassis? I am considering buying one and would like to hear from someone who owns one.

Well

You cant make everyone happy

But I will tell you when I show up to run this truck everyone turns off their 1/8 and 10th scale to see what I am doing

But thanks for the input

oh by the way those tiny wheels are 10 inches across and almost 6 inches wide

If you think thats tiny?

Default MCD 1/5th scale cars...

The on-road version with the roll bar and no body at all. The "old friend" was a friend of mine who I met back in Ft. Collins, Colorado back in the 80's. I at the time was racing ABA sanctioned BMX racing expert class and flatland freestyling on my Haro Master. I have more funny storys that I can write but one morning we finished freestyling and terrorizing the town about 7AM and on the way home we found a grocery store getting a delivery from a semi full of soda........You wouldn't believe how hard it is to ride a BMX bike and carry 2 liter coke bottles! Anyone who raced ABA in the 80'S in Colorado probably recognizes my name from the old days of BMX....Thats what I blew my money on before RC, and sports cars, and guns, and tools, and.......

Living large put up a picture of the MCD on-road with just the roll bar.....

Now that MCD on-road looks nice! Its alot like my FG except its AWD! I have a video of these cars doing things a 1/5 FG with rear drive only, could never do...like drifting the whole way around a asphalt track going way faster than a rear drive FG ever could.

And the proportions mentioned earlier are much better. More like my FG with Mcleren body is here...

Default Nice Car

Wow that FG looks great

and ther is no question that the fg is a great car
We make tires for them if you are interested

but a blue line MCD road car with AWD is one bad boy
I had mine out in a parking lot this weekend and nailed it coming out of a turn and peeled 2 tires I guess I need better glue
Did you see the movie on the MCD websight? its very cool

Let me see

here is a pic

Default MCD 1/5th scale cars...

Yea the subaru body is cool too. I was going to get a blue line MCD on-road without a body and use it for a parking lot thrasher and save my FG for racing, but never got a round to it.

There is no doubt AWD is where its at. Who wants to use the brakes to change the cars direction when you can use the GAS! I hope FG comes out with a AWD system...I think you are right though about MCD having the only 1/5 scale cars with AWD.

And the Zenoah G230RC on the MCD is the same engine in my FG, I opted for the G230RC rather than the SOLO, the Zenoah makes more power too.
