Default Temp Range for Traxxas 2.5

I just purchased a Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 and was wondering what the operating range was as far as temperature goes. I live in northern NY and it is currrently ZERO degrees farhenheit outside. How warm does it have to be outside to run this thing? Any info would be much appreciated, thanks!

Can't quote you the exact operating temp that your engine will heat too. I would guess timate about 260. As far as running it. Breakit in in your heated garage. about a tank full then take it out side and have fun freezing. I ran mine last week at 5 below, it was a little hard to start. but once it was running a okay! I used a heat gun on the head to warm it up so it would start easier

[I live in florida, so I don't know this from expierence, just what I read in magazines..]

When it is cold, run a little rich, and heat up your engine before you start it. Some people reccomend a Hairdryer, floor board of your car with the heater on, or even car exhaust... This will help the sleve expand a little to make starting easier, and avoid damage...

Thanks everyone! I might go out later on today, if the temp gets above ZERO.... Brrrrrrr!!! Think I'll just stick the transmitter antenna out the car window and try to keep myself warm :-)

I run both my 2.5's at around 240-250 and they both run really strong. again you will have to run a little rich because of the cold and you might want to exagerate the break in a little bit because of the weather.

Well bad idea.. My car (real car) makes my R/C car go crazy. And I have an FM transmitter too.

I dont know why, but heck my rickety ol Taurus prolly emits friggin alpha, beta and gamma radiation as well as radiation in all other possible specrums the way its runnig right now lol. (nah, its actually a good car)
