ok, to make a long story short, i want a new rc car that fills all of the gaps that i have found in my current setups. I have a MT2 mostly stock except for the parts that have broken which i have changed to aluminum. (have had it for 1 full gallon) I have 2 planes, 1 heli, 2 boats and other nick-nacs here and there which are all nitro. so, this isnt new to me.

I first wanted a jato 3.3 for the pure speed factor and nothing else (due to my mt2's lacking performance)

then i looked into the revo 3.3 due to its all around aspects (i really dont beat on them so, it would break less, be faster, cover more terrain, and be a much better overall truck than my mt2)

and finally i went to a track today and watched the buggy's. Now this would be my first choice due to handling, performance, durability and overall fun factor. (i like the turmoil with the spectrum radio setup and 26 v2 motor)

so, i am looking for something that is a good performer out of the box, durable and has the ability to bash mostly, race rarely and be a good rc all around with the least amount of down time. I thought i would be happy with the mt2, but its performance lacks, breaks constantly drives ok but is really finicky (sp?)So what do you recomend out of the above listed? anything else? feel free to comment!

Truggy sounds like a good option for you, but I have to agree with Jamie, buggy all the way...there's nothing quite like the speed and the 'on the edge of physics' factor.

What kind of track is it? 1/8 scale or 1/10 scale? Electric or Gas? What classes do they run?

bugy are good and all but there more race trackish, the truggies would perform better in the bashing aspect. they are basically the same only truggies re bigger more ground clearance depending on engine more powerfull, handle better over debris because of the bigger wheels etc.......
nothing against buggys at all but they are (in a way) kind of ristricted to the track.

My humble opinion: Revo 3.3

my local tracks are 1/8 scale nitro but offer many open sessions for anything.

So far, i really like the rtr turmiol buggy. for some reason, this seems like the most fun but, might be limited to the track and i like to bash in the grass, baseball diamonds, pavement, dirt, sand..so on and so on

the other idea is the revo 3.3 which would be a great basher, but i already have a 4x4 truck so i am hesitant on the revo.(although it most likely fits my needs the best and will be a great truck)

and lastly, the jato 3.3.. now i am only interested in the straight line spped of this. and seeing that my easiest accessed "play areas" are pavement i could have alot of fun with this.

so, i really like the buggy, revo would be a great basher, and the jato would be fast. I just am having a hard time with the decision bc i dont want to get one and wish i had gotten the other.
also, my hobbyshop carries parts for all the above rc's so support would not be an issue.

ok, this next statment might not apply to you but it might...ive thought about going buggy but ive noticed everyone at my LHS that races buggy has $$400+ in theirs...all im saying is if youre racing be prepared to spend alot if you wanna make it a serious competitor....

i myself love monster trucks for the intimidating size and its ground clearance, if youre not racing then def. go MT...just my opinoin
