I am kinda of new to the r/c scene and am thinking of upgrading to something better then i have now. I am not sure of all the choices that are out there. So right now i think i want a Jato 3.3. Heres what I am looking for something that can go offroad once in a while, but manily pavment. Can handle small jumps, and that is around the same price and speed of a Jato 3.3. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks
Nick

To get an idea of what kind of car/truck you want check the [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4307335/tm.htm]Choosing your first RC[/link] to find out what TYPE of RC you want, will help narrow it down a little for you and then you can get into specifics, when asking for help or just checking the actual forums for the type of RC you're looking for. Im also new, and thinking of starting with a Stadium truck.

Honestly i would be happy with a ST/Buggy/Truggy just not really a full size MT cuase they flip easy and go slower. Just looking for some ideas on decent rc veichles.

If you want it, get it. The concensus is to start with an electric for first timers but I say why bother buying something you don't want. If you start with something you will quickly outgrow, your stuck with it when you want to move on and trying to sell a used rc is like trying to dump enron stock
. Oh, and when you switch to nitro, you still have to learn about tuning and everything else. I bought the jato 2.5 when they first came out and up untill then only had electric cars. The jato is a great 1st st in my opinion because it is pretty tough and it teaches you about tuning and maintenance and repair. As far as people saying you can't handle it, prove them wrong. It really is not hard to drive any rc car with some practice and thats what the break in period is for. If it proves to be to fast at first, then don't go wide open. If you can't tell, I'm saying jump in! Have fun and drive it like you stole it!!!

Well it will be my second Nitro and my first is Tower ST-15. No where near the preforamce of the Jato. But I dont want to have to buy 3 more trucks to work my way up to a Jato. Becasue that cost a lot of money. I have learned a lot from my St-15 and do want something that there is no real easy upgrade to. Also i will be practing in a large parking lot before i try to drive in close quaters with it to get the feel. So I think i am rdy for the challange.

The Jato 3.3 is a good stadium truck. it is VERY FAST lol, kinda crazy, if your going to be driving off-road as far as grass and stuff then get rustler wheels and dirt hawgs tires, the stock anaconda tires are horrible in the grass.
