I'm not sure which car to get, Ive never had an rc car before...
I would like to race in an outdoor track (pavement) not dirt
I would not use a 70+ mph car...thats not me
I do not know which car to get, will somebody please help me?

Hmm i'm not big on RC cars, they bore me because they can only go on smooth pavement.
I have a RS4 evo and it's a good little car but i'm sure there is something better out there, somone else will chime in.

when you talk gassers your talking over ALOT of money, to give you an example i just bought a 1/5 scale FG monster truck gasser, total after i added electronics and tuned pipe 1500 bucks. I doubt you want to spend that much.

No a RS4 evo is alot better then any of those cars. I have the red GTSR Viper body on mine, very cool looking. This is what mine looks like.

No experience with this one but it looks pretty good. Although the seller says it's gas when it clearly is a nitro and shows a nitro fuel car lol

Just remember in this hobby, you get what you pay for.

Ahh i see, don't let one bad experience ruin it, i use e-bay all the time, just have to buy from good sellers with alot of feedback. other payment options are avaliable besides paypal in some auctions also.
There is an ON-ROAD section on here somewhere also you might want to check out.

Yourt dad is right, you do need to research a little bit more. You wouldn't want to spend 200 bucks and get some piece of crap, spending a little more time reaserching and finding the right car for you is the best way to go about it.
Here is the ON_ROAD forum these guys should know alot more about cars.

I think if you can afford it, maybe shop around and look for the best price on a RS4 Evo, or a Nitro 4-Tech. Anyway good luck man.

Your dad is dead right, you should take this opportunity to really impress him and say that you want to put your present on hold, that an RC car is what you really want, but you're going to find out about them first, so you don't make a mistake. Nitros are great, but you will need to learn a bit about engine tuning. I would also suggest maybe a 4-tec or one of the cheaper HPI RTR cars. Do not spend less than $300 on a nitro RTR. If that's too much, perhaps you should consider an electric.

You can get them for a little less then 300 bucks, you just need to shop arund thats HPI RS4 evo was only 289.00 with free shipping. But FOXY42 is dead on with what he is saying!

Stick with name brands, you'll be able to find the parts alot easier when you crash (and you will!!)
besides were do you by parts for "Joe Shmo's" rc car?
