Default Has anyone driven the Nitro 4-tec and the ntc3?

I think I have narrowed my search for a car down to the 4-tec or the ntc3. I want speed, but handling is a must. I want to race, but it seems the 4-tec is not nearly as well suited for racing as the tc3. I cant find much about converting the tc3 to a 2-speed, so is it expensive and hard to do? I'm just looking for some help from some people who know, cuz I don't.

Heck if you know what your doing do you wanna look at Serpent or Mugen?
They seem to make some nice mid-high end cars

I know they are currently "reforming" and changing their lineups but there are some good ones out there!

the ntc3 is a great car, the top cars at our races last year were all ntc3's. You can't look over the other cars but it comes out of the box being very adjustable. You can get a wide range of hop-ups and a few parts you can steal from other types of cars. read my post about the trany case. The trany case is my one and only problem with the car. If you know a little about the car or can research it you could buy all parts seperatly and get the better stuff for racing instead of buying the kit if you went for the ntc3. parts and manuals are all on ae's web page

My friend (2 of em actually) bought RTR TC3s.

One of em actually works at the LHS. He knows a good deal about cars, hes second generation lol
So I'm saying.. if he bought it.. its prolly pretty good.

BTW how much are you paying for it??

Heck this should definitely cover it.

After you get some more cash you might want to get a better radio.. the Ace radio is total trash.. if it works.. so far so good! lol

I'm new at this, so how much should I look to spend for a decent radio?
