lol it was a good day of bashing













the i scraped it down and got out the hammer and fixed my tvp's





i got it all fixed up and back to normal .

more bashing tomorrow lol..

LOL. perfectly bent chassis must have been a good crash. nice job fixing it too

wow reminds me of a rift which happened after an earthquake... so nothing snapped? anything where the tvp bent?

lol yeah it was a good day except for the tvp's but ya know ...

oh and the only thing cracked when the tvps bent were one of the servo mounts and the electronics box split a bit ..but i got it all fixed
and the electronics box where the split is ..only thing i got to say for the electronic box is thank god for crazy glue

You should also post this on the HPI monster truck forum too! This is too good to not share it to fellow Savage fans.

I too have buckled my TVPs in this manner (no less than 3 times). I've run into trees, a parked car, and curbs. But there is nothing the 8oz hammer cant fix. Though the TVPs will never be the same again (due to stress fatigue form the buckling and from beating back flat again), they will still function. Fortunately TVPs are very cheap.

I did however totally ruin a set of TVPs by nose diving my Savage from the roof of a hous onto the concrete driverway before. It buckled in the same manner as yours did, but the buckling compression was more extensive and the entire front end was about trashed. I was extremely surprised that my electronics survived; the batt box was totally FUBAR. I guess this is a testiment as to how durable the Savage is even in the most severe wrecks.

just goes to show how tough the savage is! if you can fix it with a hammer and glue, its got to be tough
