First there is no stupid questions. And you can get the fuel from your local hobby shop, and you will need a starter kit it comes with all the things you will need and there is a thread on here that will teach you all you need to know about the cars and the hobby. So good luck and have fun. And that is a great starter ride you will have lots of fun.

If you get a jato 3.3 as your first truck be careful. It is really fast and go lite on throttle in a large parking lot to get used to it. Its a fun truck and seems to be pretty durable but i just got mine. All you should need for that truck is fuel bottle, 7.2v battery, charger for 7.2v battery, and 12 AA batteries. Also buy a extra glow plug or two incase one burns out on you. Some say replace glow plug after break in. Servos are the things that control the throttle and steering. There is a lot of good info in the offical jato thread look over that a little to if you have time.

Buy fuel from a hobby store here are some should be close to you. Just call and ask if they carry traxxas top fuel either 10% or 20%. I recomend 20% more nitro you will go faster. You should not switch between 10 and 20 just pick one and stick with it.

Dragons Den Hobbies
206 Broadway St
Baraboo, WI 53913
(608) 356-7005

Toms Hobbies & Crafts
442 S Albert Ave
Reedsburg, WI 53959
(608) 524-1569

This should be a better deal for you http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1p?&I=LZ1389** $10 more dollars you get charger and battery. BUT you can use this coupon code 010VV and get $30 dollars off. Shipping is only 9 dollars from tower hobbies making it 414.97 shipped with charger and battery. That is a good deal and tower hobbies is a very trusted site with good customer service (incase you dont know). I have bought several things from them. Also buy some after run oil to put in engine after every run to prevent rust ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXL391&P=M ). Fuel bottle ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMH56&P=ML ) and heres the glow plugs ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGPL6&P=M ). If you buy all of that you will be ready to run except fuel and AA batteries. Hope this help and let us know if you have any more questions.

So if I ordered all this:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1p?&I=LZ1389**

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJM38&P=ML

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMH56&P=ML

I could run it as soon as I received it?

I looked at glow plugs and I am not sure which one I would need, and would I need a glow igniter?

Thanks for all the help!!
You edited your post before I got all this found. Thanks.

Yeah i edited that last post like 3 times kept thinking of more stuff. If you use easy start no need for glow plug. Also if you really want to buy it online get that 4 quart special for $33. You dont want to keep paying for shipping and shipping adds up espcially because it has to be sent haz mat (hazordous material) mail cost more. Are any of those hobby shops i found close to you? Just call in morning and find out if they have top fuel. This glow plug will work http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGPL6&P=M

Another edit lol. You should also get some thread locker incase you have to replace or retighten any screws. Threadlocker is only used with a metal screw in to a metal peace not on plastic. If you dont use it the on the screws they will vaborite out. You wont need it right away but eventually you will.

Why not check out e-bay, you can pick up a used one for ALOT cheaper then new. My first RC was a Savage 25 i got off e-bay used, It was GREAT. Just make sure the seller has good feedback and you should be good. You figure your going to bust up your first new RC anyway why spend 200 bucks more when you can get fairly new ones for cheap. Just my opinion, I buy new and used, but when i buy used i'm a little more skeptical, so far so good!. I have a LST2 coming i got for 365.00 vice spending 620.00

The Jato will take plenty of abuse if properly drove. You being new to this take it easy with the Jato, if you give it to much throttle it will go from 10mph to 50mph in a blink of a eye then on to 65+mph. You'll probably want to get some 2.2 Proline Trac-Ta-Gator tires and some 2.2 rims for bashing offroad. Onroad the stock tires are fine, but for offroad the stock tires suck.

All i have to say is buy extra turnbuckles and A arms if your going to bash. I've broken about 4 turnbuckles and two front A arms. The Jato is so FAST man it's insane!

Ok its ordered I am EXCITED. If I get different tires can I get any brand I want as long as they are 2.2 which is the size I am assuming? Or do I have to get Traxxas brand?

Look under the parts list here ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=TRAC83**&P=Z ). The rims that come with the jato are 2.8". They have replacement tires to fit them but not a lot. I recommend buying these rims front( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLCB8&P=Z ) rear ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLCB9&P=Z ). Then you can run any set of 2.2 tires.
