Hi,

I am new this forum, and it is a little difficult to navigate. Anyways, I am not sure where to post my question so if its in the wrong place I apologize.

I have tried searching but I can't find much info on affordable nitro cars. Anyways, my girlfriend has taken a liking to nitro cars and I am looking for something as cheap as possible for her to start with. The budget if possible is around $100-150. I know thats not much, but I was looking at the Tornado XL (which is also the shockwave I guess??) and its $100. Is this car any good and if not are there any good RTR cars that I can get ahold of for that price?? Thanks for any help in advance.

Honestly, it's an expensive hobby. The cost of support equipment alone (fuel and glo plug igniter, to start) will end up being around the entire price you're looking to pay. With your price range, your best bet is to find someone locally (craigslist.com) or on any type of auction site and try to find something used.

I have all the other equipment (fuel, ignitor, etc.). I own a car myself however she is just looking for something to start. Have u personally heard of or know someone who may have heard of the Tornado XL from Redcat Racing? I appreciate your help. Thanks.

There is a redcat racing forum specifically for their cars. Have a look down the list of car threads, you can't miss it.
