Default Dying Rims

I bought some new traxxas rims today and it says i can dye them. What would i use to do this??

Rit fabric dye, salt and hot water.

I tried this once with Tamiya rims, and wound up with 4 really warped purple wheels.

Apparently, you need to be careful to keep the temp from melting the wheels.

I hear the proper way to do it is to get a good boil on the water/salt/die solution, cut the heat, and drop in your wheels. Repeat this process until you get the desired tincture.
