New Engine
Hello,
I just got an LRP Z.28 Spec 3 Truggy engine for my CEN Matrix TR Arena FRE. This is my first nitro kit that I have built, hence my first engine purchase. I have a Traxxas Revo and Losi LST 2 (used to own a Jammin X1 CR RTR), all of which had RTR engines and all I did with them are the necessary maintenance issues; i.e. engine break in, tuning, and after run oil.
Since the LRP is my first engine minus RTR engines my question is: Is there anything I need to do to prep this engine? I plan on running 30% nitro fuel, so do I need to shim? Do I need to seal the carb or backplate or have these things already been done by the manufacturer?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

RE: New Engine
Check the manual, it will/should tell you if shimming is required, it often is for 30%. The only other thing you have to worry about is controlling that kind of power, when tuned right it should blow you away. Nice engine for a truggy
