does anyone know the right way to balance off-road 2.2 truck tires? how important is it ??? Grampi, did you get that fantom running yet?? I opted to go with the o.s. 15cv-rx in my xxxnt-- wondering how proformance is in your truck??? (rc10 gt right?) thanks

I don't think it's particularly important to balance your tires on the truck, especially if your just bashing. They are usually pretty good out of the box. One thing to be careful of though, the stock rc10gt rims have 2 holes in each one. If you get water in them you'll throw the balance way off and unless you remove the tires from the rims they'll be way off. I saw somewhere, someone mentioned sealing the holes, especially if you are cleaning your truck with water.

I think most of my problem does come from water. Seems like they always want to come onglued.Thanks for the input...

I've been wondering too.. my buggy tires seem to be a tad off balance

Default tire balance

I use a magnetic prop balancer to get my tires close,Sometimes i have to futz with the tire foam or glue small flat peices of lead to the inside of my rims if it is really bad with big monster truck tires.Remember to always set your car on a stand so the suspension and tires dont have any weight on them, or tires get flat spots. hope this helps
