If you do get a muggy be sure to read what you have to do to make the clutch last. In a nutshell you should change the tires to truggy size, get a 12 tooth clutchbell, and dynamite maxlife clutch shoes. People who have run the stock clutch and stock tires seem to have problems with their clutches. Go to www.lstforums for more info.

RE: dont want a war!!!
I would go Revo, highly versatile super strong stock engine. Plus check out this link.

I wouldn't suspect people with names like arevopro and killerjato to suggest anything else. I would go losi muggy. Losi cars are top of the line. And it's not like I hate traxxas because I own an E-maxx which I like, but I think losi is a better choice.

i am not a brandist, i think both are great trucks. but the 3.3 engine sucks balls. hard to tune and very poor power. it depends what you will be using it for. both can bash and both can race. as stated, whack in a 12t vented clutch bell, and dynamite maxx life shoes and you will be fine. you dont need to replace the tyres.
as for ease of tune. the losi takes it. the mach 427 is one of the easiest engines out there to tune. its basically the same as an lrp spec 3 (which i also own) and i have to re-tune it once to twice a month if the weather changes.
either are good trucks, also have you looked at other trucks like the lst2 and savage?

RE: dont want a war!!!
I've owned both brands myself. The origional lst mach engines were garbage with seizing issues. I've heard they are better now but I just don't like them, something cheap about them. As the far as the 3.3, they have plenty of power and and easy to tune so far(I've had my jato for 2 months). Ultimately I would prefer the muggy because of the chasis layout.

RE: dont want a war!!!
they didnt seize all the time! there was a problem with them because losi added a washed with screwed the engine over but they have stopped doing that a long time ago.
and the 3.3 is underpowered. its a .20....the os .18 tm produces more power and is easy to tune. if you knew anything about the engine you would know a lot of people are unhappy with it
the mach 26, whilst not bas powerful as the mach 427 is a good engine.but that is only used in the lst or aftershock, not the muggy, or lst2
tbh, i dont think you know what you are talking about, thus not qualified to comment on it. i have owned several of both, and used to get paid to tune veichles/break them in. i have had a 3.3 seize after one tank. it was a deffect but never had any problems with mach. and btw, people buy mach engines to use as upgrades as they are so good, produce a bucket load of power, and are known for being one of the easiest engines to tune

RE: dont want a war!!!
I had a mach and hated them ever since. 3.3 is not underpowered it moves the Revo at 45+ out of a small block, some big blocks in other MT's can even do that stock. If he asked about a Revo and a MGT instead of the muggy i would suggest him to get the MGT so i am not being brandish about i.

RE: dont want a war!!!
as for spelling, im doin spanish, i actually wrote y instead of and several times before i re-read it.
speed check a revo, it wont reach 45, high 30's with a good tune. the engine sucks.
as for the mach. do you know what an lrp spec 3 is? a very good motor, i have one in my 18-20ilb lst1 and it will wheelie it in second gear at half throtle. not a slow engine. the point being, it and the mach are 99% identical.
i also respect your opinion, but the fact is the 3.3 is a poorly designed engine. ask in the revo forum and see what they say.

RE: dont want a war!!!
there are far better 1/10th scale cars out there. i have owned the menace and the older 21xtr 3e. have to admit they go fast though and have a nice engine!

RE: dont want a war!!!
Well whatever u think, get a good radar gun mine has been clocked at 45 with the 3.3 so i guess that means 35 in your in your mind. No more comment on this thread the guy didn't want a war and guess what it's a war. All you have to do is reccomend a car and without bashing the other car like i orginal tried to do, later i looked this thread and it's already a war.

RE: dont want a war!!!
it can be non vented, but it is worth getting the vented one.
as for the 3.3, i cbb to go into it anymore, but compare it to other engines the same size and you will realise it is not as powerfull or have as much usable power.

RE: dont want a war!!!
Yeah go ahead compare the 3.3 to other engines stock .15 - .20 in a rtr rc car then it does have alot of power jack. I have the OS .18TM and its got slighly more low end, about the same mid and less top end then the 3.3. Must be why the Revo with the 3.3 has won champoins every yr since its release because it has no power and can not be tuned hmm.

RE: dont want a war!!!
Its sad you had to go back to mid 06 to find that. It holds tune better and thats all i give it. Still what stock rtr car with a comparable size engine .15 - .20 has a whole lot more power, i'm waiting.
