I am kind of new to the hobby. I have been rcing for 2 years now. I have a savage x and a xtm excellerator. The both have an am radio but i but i think i should put a beter radios in my savage becuase when the garadge doors open my xtm goes crazy. I am also think that i want to build a kit and the ussualy dont come with a radio and figure i will have to get one eventualy any ways. I was wonder what is a good radio with a five or more model memory and have electronic trim and all the good stuff for a reasonable price. please leave suggesstions and links to web sites.thanks.

well..like always, it depends on how much you want to spend on it. Spektrum dx3 is overpriced and you pay 50$ just for the name, you can get Futaba 3PM with exact same features and better for 50$ less with a total of $200. You might wana go directly to 2.4ghz frequency so I'd say 3pm has the bare minimun that every rc'er wants and needs.
Next would be Nomadio Sensor. I have this radio and I love it more than any radio in the world. It is 4ch, has 3 sensors (RX voltage sensor, engine temperature sensor and a speed sensor [2 actually]) the radio has all the possible features any person might want and more. Extremely light and compact, I dont know what weakness it might have... 5stars IMO. comes with a price tag of $350, BUT its very much worth it, i promise you, just read the specs, you'll fall in love with it.
Look at how much you want to spend, but whatever you buy I think i speak for everyone when i say go 2.4ghz...
