Default Engine Performance Problem!

I have a Redcat Hurricane with a S.H. .28 engine. One thing i noticed about the engine is that the carberator lacks low speed or high speed needles, it only has one needle and the idle screw. when I run I either idle or run full or close to full out, so when i take her in after running full speed and measure the temp to test it i usually get it in the 190-200 range (great full throttle performance). the thing is my engine boggs off the line at this setting but not when i lean it out! So should i run hotter or drill out the clutch shoes? I don't really have any doubt that a new carb with low and high speed needles would solve the problem but i dont have any money to spend on my RC right now (just spent $40 on tires and $30 on other stuff).

oh you could definately lean out. I would lean to where you are running about 230 and try that for a while.
