Default PTFE Lube

I saw a review for a special lubricant on the review section of this site. I think it had teflon and was a dry lubricant. You put it on and it evaporates leaving behind a lubricating film. I have some Liquid Wrench PTFE dry lube in a spray can (larger size) from a hardware store. Is it OK to use this to lube parts of an r/c? The can is kind of a tan/gold color if anyone wonders if they might also have some around. If not, what is the best thing to lube parts with? Is specialty r/c lube expensive?

Also, there must be a thread about maintenance somewhere on this site. I am looking into an e-savage and want to properly maintain the batteries, chassis, motors etc. Does anyone know a thread(s) where I can find this info?
Thanks
