can anyone tell me the benefits if any that could be attained. i have a mammoth that has 4 front and 4 rear, want to take the inners out and mount the lower outer mount wher the inner would go, keep in mind the outer shock are 1\2 inch longer than the inners. doing this would make the shocks almost straight up and down like a real car, would it handle better, and would the extra lenght in the smaller area give better groung clearence.

no but you should just take the inner ones out and keep the outer in the same position. you will also have to change the shock oil in the shocks. with an OG mammoth and 4 shocks, try 50wt. It will handle better that way. this is if you race.
Or you could just keep all 8 if you just bash around and it will be fine.

i'm not looking to race, maybe alot of parking lot running and maybe once in while on the grass, but when on the grass i would like as much gc as possible, as it is the manual says that it should have 3.75 in of gc with 100wt oil,and my truck doesn't, (baught it used though so don't know whats in it.)
