I'm not to sure about the engine, but with the steering I might be able to help. Take the servo off and see if you can easily turn the wheels by them selves, if not, dis assemble the whole assembly and check for any broken/bent pieces. If it all works fine check the servo, turn the servo horn left to right to see if it is smooth or not, then do it with the radio. If you find that the radio doesn't make it turn or the servo is weak I might suggest getting a new servo (Preff metal geared) or you could take it to your LHS and they prob could fix it for you (I can't see/feel it, hence why it's hard to diagnose.

ditto check the servo with it disconnected. if it doesnt turn with nothign connected it might have been damaged during crash.
is steering and throttle servo the same?
you can try to sawp them to see if it is the servo its self. if the stering servo doesnt work on the throttle either then its prolly damaged.
the part that connects to the servo might have just "spun" on the servo and changed where the stop point is.

as for the engine not working, do you mean it wont start now?

Packfan, are you talking about the flat piece of plastic that tells the servo what angle it is at/restricts the turning range (Right below the output gear)? If you are, how could you turn that around with out breaking a piece or two?

Did you check the glow plug to make sure it didn't break the element?
